ELECTRONIC INFORMATION RESOURCES: ACCESSIBILITY AND UTILIZATION AS DETERMINANT OF LIBRARIANS PRODUCTIVITY IN UMARU MUSA YAR’ADUWA UNIVERSITY LIBRARY, KATSINA STATE
Abstract
This study investigates Electronic Information Resources: Accessibility and Utilization as determinant of Librarians Productivity in Umaru Musa Yar’Aduwa University library, Katsina State. The study adopted a survey design. A structured questionnaire was used to gather data. The population for this study comprised of 25 academic librarians from the university library. Total enumeration sampling technique was used. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire. The result is low, the p value of 1.177 is higher than the 0.05 alpha level which by the rule that when the p-value is greater than the alpha value, the null hypothesis is accepted. The study concluded that Electronic information resources influence academic productivity of Librarians but depend on other contributing factors such as media, facilitators, types and purpose for which it is used by Librarians in Umaru Musa Yar’Aduwa University library, Katsina State.
