NATIONAL DIRECTORATE OF EMPLOYMENT AND YOUTH ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT; A STUDY OF AWKA
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to expose the role of the national Directorate of Employment on the Youth Entrepreneurial Development in Nigeria ( A Study of NDE Akwa). The researcher used descriptive design in the study of the problem. The study was carried out using questionnaire distributed among youth entrepreneurs in Awka. Secondly, the researcher made use of documentary method of data collection which was collected from textbooks, journals, newspapers, magazines and Libraries. The research findings of the project work revealed that the role of the National Directorate of Employment in Youth Entrepreneurial Development in Nigeria is affected by improper training, insufficient motivation on the part of government and non-availability of financial resources. The researcher recommended that stringent conditions for loan acquisition should be given to organizations like the NDE to improve on the Nations entrepreneur landscape.
